Wondering what to make for breakfast while following a ketogenic diet? Look no further! Read on for a comprehensive list of quick keto breakfasts you can add to your daily routine. All recipes are very quick to make or can be made in bulk to allow for a “grab and go” breakfast throughout the week.

Some common breakfast ingredients to add to your grocery list include:

  • Bacon
  • Coconut or almond milk
  • Cheese
  • Sugar-free sweetener
  • Butter
  • MCT oil

Can I skip breakfast on keto?

Yes! In fact, there are a bunch of people who skip breakfast on the keto diet. Actually, skipping breakfast and eating in a shortened time frame has its very own name: intermittent fasting. In particular a 16/8 intermittent fast. Basically, you eat for 8 hours and fast for 16 hours, typically skipping breakfast.

Egg-based breakfasts are a great choice for people who are trying to maintain a ketogenic diet while dining out. Try ordering without the potato, bread, etc. and check out these options while on the go:

  • McDonald’s: Keto egg sandwich. Order- two egg patties, a sausage patty with cheese, and two slices of bacon. Use the eggs to make the “bread of the sandwich” and add the sausage and bacon in the middle. SO YUM!
  • Carl’s Jr./Hardee’s: There are a few options you could try… Order- Low carb breakfast bowl, or Steak and Egg Burrito without the tortilla, or the bacon, egg, and cheese burrito without the tortilla.
  • Chick Fil A: chicken scramble bowl. Order- chicken scramble bowl without the hash browns.
  • Wendy’s: breakfast baconator, keto style. Order- Breakfast baconator without the bun.

The bottom line: You can easily turn most fast food meals keto by asking for whatever you want, just without the bun or bread.
